Maybe Junto just want to do a small low profile gig to get back into form?

Its true that place is a shit hole (espeically the room with the mirrors) but maybe they just want a low risk gig where noone expects much. I dont think its going to really hurt their status to play there. But thats just me and i dont know much.

The HQ and Agincourt are shitholes too, but sometimes you gotta do it and it can still go well. I saw Cog at a pub in brisbane (the gabba hotel i believe) once that was basically a tin shed but it was still awesome, because they made it awesome and created the vibe.

Also if you support the band, and really want to see them, then who cares where it is?

I guess after playing shit gigs, I feel as though those gigs can do no good whatsoever, it can only do you harm. I guess from a "fan" perspective, it's frustrating to watch Junto keep running in circles and never go forward. The risk in playing a shit venue is that you run the risk of losing people who may have been new fans but are turned off by bad sound. Because a lot of people don't understand the concepts of live sound and PAs and all that.

We can see a band and understand that bad sound doesn't always reflect the band's talent, but a lot of people don't recognise that.

People want value for their money. Nobody wants to pay money to go to a shit venue when they can play just as much to see a band in a good venue.
